Jeya Seelan on Spicy

Jeya is one of very few spice mixers remaining in Singapore. Initially resistant to taking on his dad's business, a life-changing fortnight in his Yishun shop was all that took to kickstart his journey. Through painful working hours and countless conversations with his diverse range of customers, Jeya has honed a wealth of experience to further expand his company, Jeya spices. He now has a cosy spice station at Parkway Parade's NTUC, and has recently opened a factory in Mandai to mass produce spice powders while keeping the tradition alive. At the end of the day, Jeya is most passionate about spreading his love on spices and the vast knowledge on its properties, and he now conducts workshops and classes regularly.
