Ivan Martin

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida Ivan Martin brings characters to the stage that present an outlook on the hardships of life from a gentleman’s perspective. While in the Navy, Ivan discovered his love for stand-up comedy and by 2011 moved to Baltimore to pursue comedy full time. Since his arrival in Charm City, he founded the Baltimore Comedy Festival, featured Baltimore City on Comedy Central through “Kevin Hart’s Hart of the City”, was named Baltimore’s Best Comedian 2020 by Baltimore Sun, all while hosting Baltimore City’s longest running comedy open mic - Art of Comedy at Motor House. Ivan’s comedy is realistically clever and honest while reflecting on experiences throughout his childhood and young adulthood and the comedy shows he produces represent diverse comedians and subject matter.

Most recently you’ve seen him perform for Levity Live on Norwegian Cruise Lines, Empower by Go Daddy, and We Give Black Fest. You’ve heard him as the Resident Comedian for the No Pix After Dark Podcast. Or you’ve met him as the Lead Event Manager at Motor House.
