Additional details

Resilience has been on our minds a lot in the past year. We have developed a community resilience study approach together with Ashoka Romania and so many more diverse examples have emerged. We have been overwhelmed by the amount of great energy put to good use.

We are so excited to have resilient artists around us as well and inspiring to see how artists find amazing new ways of staying connected in a meaningful way.

Our first community guest this year is @Spidertag - a street artist who has worked since 2008 reinterpreting geometry, abstraction and minimalism in the streets and rural spaces globally.

At the beginning of 2016, he discovers the material that has taken him to a more personal and unique step: flexible light cables that can be used with batteries. Here begins an adventure of research and development that still continues and that has given much and joys. The geometric drive rubs the future through large murals, interventions on the floor or three-dimensional figures suspended in the air. Night falls, he puts on the superhero costume to light and capture his particular vision of street art.

His influences range from Russian Constructivism, to Kinetic art, through music and literature, cinema, video games, graffiti and current muralism or modern architecture.

The event is still online, but will have a hybrid setting in our own building.a.community garden that has been Spidertag’s playground in the past week.
