Ready to dive into the world of hand lettering? Whether you’re a curious beginner or simply looking to unwind with a new skill, this workshop is the perfect start! 🎨✒️

Join us for an engaging session where you’ll learn the fundamentals of hand lettering and create your own hand-lettered artwork!

No need for fancy tools to get started! Just grab a pen or marker, some sheets of paper, and if you’d like, a pencil, eraser, and ruler. You’re all set to begin!

Once you master the basics, the creative possibilities are limitless! Transform everyday items like cards, gift tags, and journals with your unique touch all year round. 🌟


Agenda

  • We'll start with an introduction to hand lettering and the basic supplies you'll need.
  • Dive into the basics of hand lettering. I’ll demonstrate some foundational techniques and examples to get you started.
  • Explore various hand lettering styles. We'll look at couple of different styles and how you can make each style your own.
  • Choose a project and we'll work on it together. This hands-on activity will allow you to apply what you’ve learned and create your hand-lettered project.
  • We’ll wrap up by sharing our projects. This is your chance to showcase your work, ensuring everyone leaves with a sense of accomplishment and inspiration!

What to know or bring

  • You don't need fancy tools to get started!
  • Just bring any pen, marker, or sharpie (black or colored)
  • And any paper (printer paper, notebook, or journal)
  • Optional: a pencil, eraser and a ruler

A hands-on session where participants get to build, craft, or create something tangible.

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going! 

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
