Taylor Harrington

Head of Community at Groove.

New York, NY, USA

My name is Taylor Harrington 👋 I love board games, hosting gatherings, and live music. I’m building Groove, the WFH coworking community for people striving to live a life that’s so them and do things differently. ✨

I don’t fit into a neat little box and love surrounding myself with people who say the same. I started my career building online workshops with best-selling author, Seth Godin and experienced first-hand how powerful online connection can be when you get the right people in the room. Alas, even the most incredible community experiences don’t last forever.

For years, I was curious: what is the daily solution for creative humans to bump into each other regularly and support each other in life?

We deserve to be surrounded by humans who celebrate our non-traditional path every 👏 single 👏 day. Then, I heard about Groove. The rest is history…Hope to catch you in a Groove sometime! 🪩

About this FieldTrip

Let’s make something happen THIS MONTH 🎉 If you’re a creative doer who would like accountability from great humans to do the damn thing, this goal planning party with Groove is for you!

Achieving your dreams isn’t a solo journey, we believe in harnessing the power of people. Community is at the heart of this event.

Come with a goal in mind for your the month (personal or professional!) and leave with next steps, new friends, and a major burst of encouragement. Saying out loud you’re gonna do something and why it’s important to you is much different than keeping it inside your head! 🧠

✨WHAT TO EXPECT

✍️ Heart-centered, reflection prompts for clarity on why the goal you picked is important to you and who you’ll be a month from now after you do the damn thing. Followed by breakout conversations with 2-3 other creatives.

✅ A list of actionable steps (to-do style) to make progress on your goal in the next 4 weeks and a new framing for what’s possible to accomplish in one hour.

🎒WHAT TO KNOW OR BRING

✔️ An idea for a goal you’d like to make progress on this month. We’ll workshop it during the call! For example, “finally get my Substack up and running” or “spend my downtime painting instead of scrolling".

✔️ Pen and paper

❤️ This FieldTrip is HIGHLY Interactive and includes mandatory Breakout Rooms

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
