Additional details
In July, we’re getting in the summer spirit by learning to make a sweet and icy Filipino dessert called halo-halo. It translates to “mix-mix,” and it’s a mix of sweet beans, fruits, evaporated milk, ice, and a bunch of other fun toppings!
Our teacher will be Lia Ballentine, founder of Yumday, a curated snack shop and monthly snack box service featuring women- and BIPOC-led food brands. It will be hosted in partnership with Tradition Kitchens, an Atlanta based organization that transforms kitchens into classrooms with cultural cooking classes taught by locals.
Gather the ingredients in advance and cook along with us or just join for the demo, fun and community experience. When you register, we’ll send you all the details to join us. Here’s a list of the ingredients.
