About the speaker

Courtney Tierra is an educator, children’s book author, and ice cream connoisseur. She holds a Master's in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both obtained from the University of West Georgia. For her day job, she is the Education Director at a metro-Atlanta organization and she also owns a small business that shares the knowledge of inherent worth with the world.  She is an award-winning storyteller who has shared with universities, The Moth, and Chicken Soup for the Soul. Courtney Tierra is a true believer in a healing hug, has a ridiculously wonderful giggle, and did she mention her adoration of ice cream?

“Crafting your story” will be a 2-hour writing workshop, located at the dreamy Constellations event space in Sweet Auburn. Education Director, children’s book author, and award winning storyteller, Courtney Tierra will be our facilitator! Courtney’s storytelling has been featured at universities, on The Moth stage and in Chicken Soup for the Soul. In this workshop, attendees will learn from Courtney about the form of stage storytelling and will craft their own stories based on May Creative Mornings theme of NOW.

Doors will open at 6:30pm for mingling, snacks, and beverages. Event will start at 7pm sharp. 

Kindly Note: For the comfort of all attendees, masks will be required when not eating or drinking. We appreciate your consideration.   Tickets will be very limited. We ask each attendee to bring their favorite writing supplies: notepads, journals, pens, etc. Street parking is available, yet if possible, rideshare, carpool, and MARTA are recommended.    We look forward to seeing you there!
