About the speaker
The son of first-generation immigrants to the US from the Marshall Islands, Eric Iban was born in Kansas and raised in Missouri. After moving to Northwest Arkansas in the mid-1990s, Eric graduated from Springdale High School in 2004. Eric went abroad to attend the University of the South Pacific, earning a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree then returning to the Marshall Islands to work for the Office of the Attorney General as a Prosecutor and later as Chief of the Civil Division. As a result of the pandemic and travel restrictions, Eric and his family have since remained in NWA. He currently works as a lender with United Federal Credit Union while pursuing his Master’s degree (LLM). In his free time, Eric enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, cooking and watching action movies.
