Ember - Not Everything Powerful Is Loud - Somethings Are Meant to Linger

About the speaker
Hi! I’m Lizzy Okafor
A half Nigerian and quarter Thai/American Law Student here in Bangkok, Thailand. I chose the word and topic “Ember”, because in a world that celebrates being the “fire”, I found my greatest strength in the growth that happens quietly.
This talk would draw from my experiences as a Blasian woman growing up in Thailand, with parents who are also pastors. Navigating visibility and identity may not always be easy but it is always rewarding to find your strengths through quiet change, reflection, and reinvention.
This talk would invite the audience to rethink what success means to them. For me, success is not something loud or immediate, but it is something that lingers, evolves, and has the potential to ignite again.
