About the speaker
Drew Shaw knows a thing or two about mentoring. He has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona for 4 years and a teacher at various levels of education. As an entrepreneur, he has also been mentored through different formal and informal settings, such as SEED Spot’s impact accelerator program. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with dual degrees in International Studies and Romance Languages, Drew also holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University. He is the co-founder and CEO of Acumen Learning Innovations, an education consulting company that provides dynamic learning experiences built around team building, instructional practices, and strategic planning. Drawing from the richness of his diverse personal and professional background, Drew published his first children’s book in 2017 - Rosewood Circle: The First Day, the first book in the Rosewood Circle series. Drew’s most current venture is Voyce Threads, a socially conscious lifestyle brand that brings awareness to important causes through mismatched socks.Drew is passionate about the power of education and entrepreneurship — and the opportunities they create to empower people and communities.
