Andi Tonis

Founder at A Thousand Tiny Sparks.

Chicago, IL, USA

Andi Tonis is the founder of A Thousand Tiny Sparks, a company that helps growing brands collaborate more effectively with their creative partners. She spent over a decade as a creative at top agencies, leading campaigns for Disney, Kraft Heinz, and General Motors. Along the way, she noticed a clear pattern: the quality of the work always reflected the strength of the team behind it.

Her workshops address the invisible dynamics that shape collaboration - like giving effective feedback, evaluating ideas, building trust, and setting projects up for success.

A Thousand Tiny Sparks is the only program designed specifically for the challenges brands and agencies face together. Through candid discussions, hands-on exercises, and real-world stories, teams leave with strategies they can apply right away.

About this FieldTrip

Does the word “feedback” put a pit in your stomach? Maybe you’re unsure how to phrase your thoughts, or maybe you’re met with resistance on even the smallest notes.

Fortunately, feedback doesn’t have to be so painful. In this Field Trip we’ll break down exactly why feedback fails. Then we’ll reframe it as creative fuel and discuss strategies on how to deliver it more effectively - breaking it down what to say, how to say it and why.

Participants will leave with tools to learn more about the work, deliver feedback effectively and practical ways to keep the momentum going.

Agenda

  • Why Feedback Fails: We’ll open with a conversation around the pain points of feedback– what makes it so hard? We’ll break down exactly why it fails.

  • Reframing Feedback: We’ll discuss a new approach to feedback, reframing it as creative fuel.

  • Understanding Your Audience: We’ll dive deeper into the biological reasons our brains and bodies become defensive and emotional during tough conversations.

  • Delivering Effective Feedback: We’ll walk through Andi’s Praise, Question, Critique, Build Framework. We’ll break down what to say, how to say it, and why it matters - with practice built in.

  • Q&A: We’ll end with a Q&A to address any final thoughts and questions.

What to expect

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
