With over five years of experience in the sector, he has built impactful systems that divert more than 30,000 kilograms of organic waste from landfills every month, preventing over 7,00,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions.

He is the founder of Nilayaan, a social enterprise established in 2021 that enables individuals and communities to compost organic waste at source and adopt sustainable lifestyle practices. Through this initiative, Deepesh has worked with over 600 families and multiple institutions including hospitals, villages, apartments, industries, and restaurant creating scalable, community-driven waste solutions.

He holds a Master’s degree in Development Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the Madras School of Social Work, combining academic grounding with on-ground execution.
