About the speaker

David Naimon is the host of the literary radio show and podcast Between The Covers, supported by listeners and produced in partnership with Tin House. He is the coauthor of Ursula K. Le Guin: Conversations on Writing. His work has appeared in Tin House, AGNI, Fourth Genre, Boulevard, ZYZZYVA, and elsewhere. His writing has been reprinted in The Best Small Fictions 2016 and cited in the 2016 Pushcart Prize volume, The Best American Essays 2015, and The Best American Travel Writing 2015. David has received a Pushcart Prize and the Locus Award in nonfiction.

In a reversal from his usual role of interviewer, Between the Covers podcast host David Naimon will be in conversation with CMPDX host Kaitlin Carpenter. They’ll journey into the kismet of pursuing creative work that shouldn’t work (but does), learning to trust timing, and how David approaches both the podcast and his own creative writing practice.
