Cecily Sailer

Creativity coach, writer & mystic at Typewriter Tarot.

Austin

I’m a creativity coach, writer, Tarot reader, and creator of Typewriter Tarot, a project that helps Creative Spirits bring more magic and spiritual presence into their creative practice. Through my creative mentorship practice, I help people overcome creative blocks, finish creative projects, and share them with the world in meaningful ways. I believe Creativity is an energy we get to collaborate with, and I believe creative efforts are ultimately spiritual in nature, whether we see them that way or not. I also view capitalism as a (largely) disruptive force to our creativity and I talk about that a lot, along with how we can work with this awareness. Tarot plays a big role in my work, in various ways. I offer readings, but also help others discover how they can use Tarot in their everyday lives and creative practice to bring more inspiration, clarity, and surprise into the journey.

About this FieldTrip

When we’re struggling creatively, it’s often difficult to identify “the source” of the problem, when so many aspects of our lives intersect with creativity.

In this FieldTrip, we’ll take a holistic look at our creative lives and explore where we’re thriving and feeling strong, versus where our creative practice could use a little support and love.

By the end of the hour, you’ll have a sense of what you can adjust, shift, or attend to in order to bring your creative life back into greater balance.

Agenda

  • We'll talk about what Creative Wellness means, what it looks and feels like, and what it means to you.

  • You'll be guided through a fun prism where you get to look at different aspects your creative practice and reflect on how they're working, how satisfying they feel, and what might be missing.

  • We'll take time to identify one to three priorities for rebalancing, nourishing, or revitalizing your creative practice. (Because doing just one or two things in a single area can create shifts in other areas as well!)

  • I'll leave you with some options for how to move forward given what you discover during our time together.

What to know or bring

  • Some blank paper

  • Three different colored markers, crayons, or pencils (one color that feels good, one that feels neutral, and one you don't love very much).

What to expect

Coaching session!

A guided exploration focused on personal development, creativity, wellness, and self-reflection.

It will be recorded!

The recording will be shared within 24 hours in the follow up email for a 4-day window, and available at the top of this page. Make sure to register for access!

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
