About the speaker

While I was born and raised in the Bay Area in CA, I was profoundly molded in Chicago into the person I am today. Overall, I am driven towards creative problem-solving that results in meaningful inclusion and connection. My career is built on a foundation of experience in public health practice and research, where I made contributions to opioid crisis intervention strategy training for health departments, best practices for diabetes care models, and more. Along the way, I also found my voice in comedy performance and writing. I have performed stand-up at Laugh Factory Chicago and Zanies Chicago, with my improv troupe Daddy Issues/Wiener Wiener, Wiener Wiener (maybe one day we'll go for a 3rd name change) at Second City and iO, and I write my own satirical newsletter, Professional Goof, on Substack. Currently, I am looking to launch another newsletter focusing on mental health, and am seeking new career opportunities that combine my love of research and creativity.

Marc Hans was a teachers worst nightmare turned award-winning educator, turned nonprofit founder, turned innovation consultant, turned sales and marketing leader, turned content creator, and somewhere along the way, turned into a father of 3.

Throughout all these roles Marc has helped people think differently and bring their ideas to life with creativity, kindness, and optimism.

Currently based in Chicago and living the dream as a Creative Coach, Consultant and Creator .Marc can be bribed with donuts, coffee, skateboards, or long talks about the Grateful Dead, creativity and/or parenthood.

Shelli Nicole is a Detroit-born culture writer, editor, and creative strategist.

Every week, her popular newsletter The Cinehunni Diaries explores the connection between people and how the pop culture they love shows up in their daily lives.

She has been a guest on several podcasts including The Bechdel Cast and Blue Eyes Crying By The Chips.

She lives in Chicago, where she is currently watching “Such Brave Girls” on repeat
