About the speaker
Marya is a producer for television and has written & directed over 7 short films and 3 web series. She also runs a lifestyle blog on Instagram by the name @no.fomo
For television she has worked on projects like MorMahal, Ik Thi Marium and Akhri Station. As a filmmaker she has written and directed films like Baadi, Inheritance, It's a boy and Settled.
The overarching theme of her work is the psychological undercurrent of relationships, society and the world we live in. She started her career through mainstream television in Pakistan both as an actor and producer before starting her solo career as a writer/filmmaker.
