Colette Huchard ユシャール・コレット

ブリュッセルと京都で活躍するフランス人コスチュームデザイナー。彼女の専門は、気候変動や国際関係と結びついた経済的・社会的背景の中で、西洋と東洋の影響を受けた芸術とファッションの研究である。
ヨーロッパと日本でのキャリアを通じ、ダンス、演劇、オペラ、映画などの衣装を手がける。
2012年、「Hors Les Murs」賞を受賞したことをきっかけに、日本の衣服の特殊性を研究し、京都の劇団「地点」の演出家、三浦基と出会い、2014年からコラボレーションを行っている。
着物「伊吹」からの再創造という彼女のコンセプトは、ひなやの伊豆藏社長が制作した、地天の役者たちが出演するビデオで撮影された。
コレットは現在、地点のアトリエスペースUNDER-THROWで9月30日から10月15日まで上演されるヴィトルド・ゴンブロヴィッチ作「ブルゴーニュのイヴォンヌ姫」の衣装を制作中。
Colette Huchard is a French Costume Designer who is active in Brussels and Kyoto. Her specialty is researching art and fashion, the influences between West and East, in the economic and social context linked to climate change and international relations.
Throughout her career in Europe and Japan, Colette has created costumes for dance, theater, opera and cinema; she taught History of Costumes and led workshops in many acting schools, and costume designer schools.
In 2012, she received the award «Hors Les Murs» that led her to research the specificity of Japanese clothing and to meet Miura Motoi, director of the Chiten theater company in Kyoto, with whom she has been collaborating since 2014.
Her concept of re-creation from kimono “Ibuki” was filmed in a video produced by the president of Hinaya Mr Izukura, featuring the actors of Chiten.
Colette is currently working on the costumes for the show Yvonne princess of burgundy by Witold Gombrowicz which will be on stage from September 30th to October 15th at Chiten’s atelier space UNDER-THROW.
