About the speaker
Chenesai Mukora-Mangoma has over 10 years combined experience in International trade and investment law in Africa, the business of fashion and community building. She is the Founder and Creative Director of House of Chenesai, a sole trading company that houses 3 portfolios; a growing legal consultancy in fashion trade and Investment, Chenesai Brand & King K brand and community building.
Chenesai is an ultra-committed social change agent who strongly believes that citizens have the power to make a difference. The backdrop to her work is focused on modelling for the sustainable empowerment of women and girls. Chenesai has led fashion industry projects including “Fashion Futures,” a multinational project aimed at discovering undiscovered fashion talent across 4 countries Zimbabwe, Namibia, Malawi & UK in partnership with British Council & Natal Media, and she is currently leading the team working on a creative experiment for the drafting of the Zimbabwe Human Development Report authored by the United Nations, as well as participating in the National dialogue “Hub issues Series,” aimed at organising the hub sector in Zimbabwe and the Sub-Saharan region.
Her lifetime commitment to sustainable social change is rooted in finding the synergy between fashion trade for small fashion producers and International trade and investment law, and sustainable women and girls’ empowerment.
