What are FieldTrips?
FieldTrips are meetups to interact, learn and collaborate in an effort to level-up your creative life.
We’re limiting these events to only 25 people, they’re like an intimate dinner party. Your absence will be felt so please make sure that you can definitely attend if you sign up. Also, we’re in the prototyping phase, so come with an open mind and be prepared for anything.
Thanks for participating! We’re lucky to have you.

About this FieldTrip
During this Creative Mornings field trip, Porchlight Press will offer a hands-on guided tour of our beautiful letterpress studio. We will take you through our printing process and the use of photopolymer plates, and the operation of our presses. Our guests will be able to watch a custom job being printed on one of our Heidelberg windmills, and from there we will take you all to one of the trusty Vandercook cylinder presses where an instructor will guide each guest through the process of printing one of their very own keepsakes to take away.
About the instructor: Founded by Heather Braun, Porchlight Press is a small team of passionate makers with very diverse backgrounds from molecular biology and english literature to landscape architecture, fine arts and graphic design. What we all have in common, is our attention to detail and love for watching the printing process unfold to create a beautifully unique piece of work. We’re also paper-obsessed designers with particular expertise designing for letterpress. Bring us a finished design, an idea or a doodle on a napkin, and we’ll work with you to bring it to beautiful, tactile life.
