What if instead you made a proactive practice of being uncomfortable? Often? On purpose?
For a sliver of time, you've been in their shoes -- and that's one of the best experiences that you can have in understanding a situation truly.
"To learn, you need humility."
If you are practising being uncomfortable, can you get more comfortable doing bigger and bolder shit in the world?
Empathy is an antidote to shame.
