What are FieldTrips?
FieldTrips are meetups to interact, learn and collaborate in an effort to level-up your creative life.
We’re limiting these events to only 25 people, they’re like an intimate dinner party. Your absence will be felt so please make sure that you can definitely attend if you sign up. Also, we’re in the prototyping phase, so come with an open mind and be prepared for anything.
Thanks for participating! We’re lucky to have you.
Archery: A Journey of Self-Discovery
– Hosted at Archery Training Center
About this FieldTrip
Much like most things, archery requires a certain balance of trust, awareness, and commitment. This FieldTrip will be hosted by Alex Meyer, a fellow CMATX community member and UX Design Team Lead at IBM. He’ll introduce us to the art of shooting arrows at a target. Alex has been involved in archery for over 25 years, first as a competitor and now, as a coach for Austin’s Competitive Archery Program.
Why archery? Alex believes that it takes a certain kind of courage, requiring you to understand yourself more than you’d like to sometimes, which can be challenging but in the end, quite rewarding
Try shooting this Friday and see what it brings forth within you!
Our mission is to provide training for competitive recurve and compound archers, ages 12 and up, with a focus on the individual while building on team cohesion for competition.
