About this FieldTrip

TRIUMF is Canada’s particle accelerator centre. Our particle accelerator is a cyclotron (the worlds largest) that we use to accelerate particles to ¾ the speed of light. In theory we can send a particle to the moon and back in three seconds. We transport these particles through beamlines and use them as tools to investigate the cores of far-off stars, treat cancer patients, manufacture the next crucial medical isotope, answer burning questions about the Universe, and so much more.   Join us on July 7 for a Creative Mornings FieldTrip at TRIUMF and gain a new perspective about the universe we call home.
