Emma Campbell

Hertfordshire, UK

Hey! I’m Emma, a neurodivergent creative, passionate about creating spaces where people feel truly seen and heard. I’m currently taking a sabbatical, sharing everything that sparks my curiosity on my Substack and podcast, Uncomfortably, Beautifully Human. I’m also a self-published author of the poetry book, 44: A Journey Through Poetry. At the core of my work is the belief that each of us brings something unique to the world, and that in supportive, connected, and collaborative environments, we can fully explore the diverse ways of expressing that uniqueness.

In my everyday life, I love travelling, reading, walking in nature, connecting with people (especially in coffee shops), spending time with friends and family, and diving into activities that engage my mind, body, and heart.

About this FieldTrip

My intention is that you’ll leave the FieldTrip feeling both equipped and empowered with some great tools and internal resources that can help you navigate the challenges, gifts and experiences of your neurodiverse mind. This is a space that celebrates experiencing neurodivergence, whilst also a space to acknowledge the challenges in new and fresh ways through writing.

This is why I’d love to take you through this intuitive writing workshop, where, together, we’ll give space to the thoughts in our minds, the voices in our hearts and let them be seen through free, intuitive writing and compassionate self inquiry.

You’ll have the opportunity to connect to what’s inside, however uncomfortable, messy and weird it may be and, in that witnessing, begin to see yourself with a deeper understanding. You’ll also have the opportunity, if you’d like, to share this in connection with others. The aim of this time is to help you feel a sense of empowerment and compassion towards your mind, and to provide you with tools to use at anytime.

You’re also invited to use this space as a creative zone, to reflect and refine ideas that want to emerge into your work through the un-filtered expression that intuitive writing and reflection provides.

A few gentle reminders:

đŸ§˜â€â™‚ïž If you’d like to keep your camera off, please do so - this is your space and it’s important you feel at ease and safe

đŸ‘Ș It’s optional to enter the breakout rooms, but for those of you that’d like to be seen and heard by others, this is a safe environment to explore that

✔ Do be considerate of other people and what they share. It’s not your responsibility in this space to offer feedback or guidance (unless it’s asked for). This space is about each individual coming to their own conclusions and experiencing how it is to be witnessed in what we’re choosing to share

🌿 Please ensure that you’re in an environment where you feel safe, at ease and have resources near-by should anything surface during the workshop that you need physical support with. Please prioritise your health, body and well-being first.

I look forward to being with you and sharing together in this supportive space.

Please note: This FieldTrip offers optional breakout rooms. If you do not feel like joining one for any reason, no worries! We'll make sure you have something to do introspectively in the main room.

Agenda

  • I’ll guide you through a brief five-minute awareness exercise aimed at becoming mindful of your current state—your thoughts, emotions, and any challenges you may feel. Afterward, you’ll journal freely, expressing whatever arises without limitation or filter.

  • You can then choose to enter a breakout room to share your writing or stay with yourself and read them privately. This is an opportunity to be truly witnessed in your words, by yourself or others, without advice or feedback.

  • We’ll then regroup, and I’ll invite you to note any questions that have surfaced before we begin a second guided awareness exercise. You’ll write again on what has emerged, observing any changes, insights, or shifts. Finally, you'll have the chance to join a breakout room once more if you wish, to see what differences have occurred through this process of being witnessed.

What to know or bring

  • Something to write with & something to write on, as well as anything you find supportive whilst writing and in self reflection

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And
” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
