PROJECT GOAL Produced as part of ALL CITY CANVAS Global Series, Herman Miller Cares commissioned this 150 ft mural as part of a workshop for the children of Camp Best Friends summer program at the Center of Hope, in Ben Hill, Atlanta neighborhood. IMPACT “Our mission is to enhance the quality of life through cultural experiences that can serve as an international model,” said Camille Russell Love, executive director, Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs. “The City of Atlanta is pleased to partner with Herman Miller Cares and All City Canvas in bringing this signature public artwork to this highly visible intersection in the Ben Hill community.” EXECUTION On “Walter” the documentary, you will see how as we learned about the lives of the people in the community, the final piece was inevitably influenced by them, and the mural gained a sense of symbol for hope and joy to the neighborhood.
