Introducing CreativeMornings Monterey Peninsula
Hello! I’m Danny Bernstein, your host for the Monterey Peninsula chapter of CreativeMornings. My co-host is Mike Buffo. Together (with your help), we are working on a new program for our creative community.
We are thrilled to introduce the next CreativeMornings chapter, CreativeMornings Monterey Peninsula, conceived from a profound appreciation for our home.
Lately, we’ve noticed a significant shift in our area. People who used to move to big cities are now choosing the broader Monterey Peninsula for its pace, natural beauty, and quality of life. They are actively shaping the Peninsula for today and the future. It’s inspiring to watch.
In sync with these changes, we decided to link up with CreativeMornings, put together an application video, and create a forum that serves as a nexus of different influences. It’s a space where ideas can percolate and where we can question norms. Our belief is rooted in the fact that everyone is inherently creative and that living a creative life requires courage, honesty, and community. CreativeMornings Monterey Peninsula welcomes everyone, no matter where you are in life or your career.

Every CreativeMornings event is free and fully volunteer-run. You can get to know the people behind the scenes by clicking on ‘Monterey Peninsula Team’ on your screen. We’re going to always seek more volunteers to join us, including photographers, designers, speakers, and those who can help make our community feel welcome. Reach out if you’re interested!
Your Host
Having spent nearly two decades in software development in hubs like San Francisco and Silicon Valley, we moved with intention to the Monterey Peninsula. I have been involved in several community organizations and initiatives in Monterey County. My experience at companies like Google and Microsoft, and my involvement in community organizations, have enriched my understanding of building and nurturing communities and bringing people together. Mike Buffo, our co-host, has been serving his hometown as a live event video producer for many years, and since the pandemic, his company, House of 8 Media, has been helping our community remain connected through hybrid events. Together, we’re launching this monthly speaker/networking event series you can attend in person or from home. We want you to join us to celebrate the incredible offerings of the Monterey Peninsula, based on the belief that by lifting one another, we can shape the local community together.
