A Global Creative Movement of Releasing Work

CREATIVEMORNINGS AND CREATIVE QUESTS COLLABORATE WITH ADOBE TO LAUNCH RELEASE DAY – A GLOBAL CREATIVE MOVEMENT INVITING CREATORS EVERYWHERE TO SHARE THEIR WORK

Month-long campaign culminates May 29 with a 24-hour global celebration of creative releases across 200+ cities

[New York City, April 30, 2026] – CreativeMornings and Creative Quests today announced Release Day – a global creative event taking place on May 29, 2026, inviting people around the world to release their personal creative projects on a single shared day. The initiative is a collaboration with Adobe and marks the most ambitious campaign and collaboration of its kind in CreativeMornings’ history, making it possible for the creative community to support each other and let go of the creative work that would otherwise stay in drawers, on hard drives, and in notebooks forever.

Release Day was originated by Sam Furness, a cultural producer, experience designer, and founder of Creative Quests, a global community and playground for people fueled by curiosity. Furness launched the first Release Day in 2025 as a collective antidote to the procrastination, perfectionism, and fear of rejection that hold so many creative people back.

This year, in partnership with CreativeMornings and Adobe, Release Day scales into a worldwide movement. Projects of all kinds – from first drafts and DIY zines to songs, paintings, websites, essays, and films – will be released simultaneously as a shared online gallery, tagged with #ReleaseDay2026, in what organizers are calling a global fireworks display of creativity.

“Raise your hand if you’ve ever felt stuck on a creative project,” said Furness. “What if we gave ourselves a collective deadline – and supported each other to finally share that special thing? That’s what Release Day is. The world needs what you’re making.”

In the month leading up to May 29, participants can join a free, Adobe-powered series of cohort-style virtual sessions – including weekly workshops and accountability hours co-led by CreativeMornings and Creative Quests, and dedicated Level Up FieldTrips featuring Adobe Ambassadors with select access to Firefly Pro – alongside a community of creators in 200+ cities, all working toward the same deadline.

“This is not a campaign about polish,” said Tina Roth Eisenberg, founder of CreativeMornings. “It’s about building momentum while gently dissolving the fear that keeps creative work hidden – offering community, accountability, and the kind of warm, loving belonging that makes courage feel possible. Release Day is about giving yourself permission to let your work be seen.” An invitation to step away from phones, the algorithm, and world news, the campaign looks inward and playfully reconnects creators with their work – doing something simply for the joy of creating.

Release Day is free and open to anyone with a creative project they want to share with the world. To pledge and sign up for the month-long program, visit creativemornings.com/releaseday.
