Sometimes the way that we treat ourselves, we would never treat our best mates if they came to us with the same problems.
Racism is draining.
Life is all about how you respond to your situation.
Hard times, uncertain times, stressful times are typically the periods of greatest learning, of character-building, and of strengthening.
Creativity is all about taking what’s inside my head and getting it inside of yours. The space between my starting point and your ending point is art—it’s creativity.
Racism is like OS-level RAM usage: before you even open any applications or try to perform any tasks, it’s already draining a certain percentage of your faculties.
A lot of times...we're so focussed on things that we miss and we're missing the things that we've gained.
Growth is proof of life.
The things that you're struggling with now is going to become second nature.
Skill comes from struggle.
It's not what you say, it's why you say it.
Be where your feet are.
We use the word stress as an overarching thing; it is, however, a very specific thing.
We can deal with stress and be calm: it’s a choice.
Prioritize yourself every day.
Each challenge makes the place you have left before a new comfort zone.
Being strong makes everything feel easier.
I allowed myself to be vulnerable before I needed to show up and be fearless and strong.
You have to sit with yourself and deal with the layers of emotions attached to discomfort.
But why not ask yourself or better yet start speaking into existence what you want and need so much so that stress has no room to grow or fester or attack you from every angle.
Hopefully more people will start to think of the creative industry as a collective mission rather than an individual pursuit.
Yoga is a tool that helps me attempt to keep both feet in the present moment just taking issues as they come day by day and moment by moment, rather than letting things pile up and carrying the weight of the future and the past.
