About the speaker
Alex Ramos is the co-founder of Input Output, a creative media lab specializing in the research, design, and development of mixed reality experiences. With a mission to create art for humans using technology, Alex merges light, sound, and space to craft immersive experiences that challenge perceptions of reality. A Mexican-born artist and veteran of the Iraq and Afghan wars, Alex studied at The University of Houston and the Art Institute of Houston.
Input Output began with an unconventional project at The Graffiti and Street Art Museum for the B12 Collective Gallery Opening, where Alex and co-founder Billy Baccam, with no prior history of working together, produced a groundbreaking light and sound experience. Their creative process is fluid and adaptive, allowing for experimentation and the freedom to push artistic boundaries.
Based in Houston, Alex collaborates with artists, nonprofits, city governments, and businesses, contributing to the city’s dynamic creative scene.
