Join us live over Zoom for a Virtual Paint Party from the comfort of your own home!

Below are suggested materials for the event, but there are no limitations to what you can use to create. Use what you have on hand (markers, watercolor, oils, crayons, paper, cardboard, whatever works!) to create your very own work of art.

About your Host Hi! My name is Heather–artist, plant lover, dog mom and entrepreneur. I have been teaching creative workshops for almost 6 years now and I have loved every second of it. With over 400 events taught, you could call me a âwell seasonedâ host. A little bit about me– I moved to Richmond Virginia almost 9 years ago to attend college at Virginia Commonwealth University to obtain my Bachelors in Gender, Sexuality and Womenâs Studies. I love to travel, eat spicy foods, take long walks with my dog Ryland, and watch scary movies. Since then moving to RVA (Richmond), I have co- produced 15 mobile artist showcases featuring up to 50 artists, hosted local conferences, started a business, got married, and have had the pleasure to teach thousands of folks in-person and virtually all over the world including 35 states and 7 countries. My style of event is— F-U-N! Of course, I will teach you some techniques, guide you through your project and in some cases provide aftercare instructions, but I thrive on good tunes, positive vibes, cultivating connections & spreading my love for art. I look forward to creating with you soon.
This is a more traditional format where participants absorb information through presentations and talks.

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.
Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.
Wear your beginnerâs hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!Â
Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings communityâjust like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgroundsâa lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
Weâre all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things. Try âYes! AndâŠâ in conversation.
Itâs 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
