About the speaker

Ain’t no Mountain High Enough - From Dalkeith to the Dead Sea

Vikki Allan is currently a FIFA Assistant Referee representing Scotland on the International stage within football. In 2009 at the age of 16, Vikki realised she could follow in the footsteps of her father and complete the local referee course, however she was met with negative attitudes towards females in what is/was seen as a male sport. Vikki set out to prove them wrong and completed her course only to then fall in love with this part of the sport and continue her journey down the refereeing pathway.

12 years later and Vikki is now one of the top female football officials in Scotland, having represented Scotland on the International stage at World Cup Qualifiers, Euro Qualifiers and Champions League. She continued her passion for gender equality and representing females at this sport by working with Equal Playing Field initiative in which she has broken two World Records with the group.

She has worked with girls across the globe in some of the most restricting countries for females in Football, to allow them the chance to play football and develop their skills.

Vikki was formerly the Youth Ambassador of Refereeing in Scotland working with the Scottish FA and also currently works as a Supplier Relationship Manager for abrdn.
