About this FieldTrip
Natasha Jain is a British-born HK actor, drama tutor, and blogger with experience across theatre, radio, film/TV, and Youtube (@TashTalks). Natasha will guide you using theatre techniques like improvisation and storytelling, renowned for providing a sense of calm in this uncertain time. You will play a host of games and do several exercises, renowned for providing a sense of catharsis!
About your Host
Natasha is a British born actor in Hong Kong. Over the years, she has been involved in Theatre, Radio, Film and TV, YouTube, and other media.
Natasha has been involved in a variety of well-known theatre productions such as The Lady in the Van, Hangmen, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as well as performing in a number of independent and original shows, including the world premiere of The Butcher by Andrew Biss. Natasha directed her first stage performance in September 2019 with Teacup Productions, with whom she has also been an Assistant Director for all of their plays during 2017 and 2018.
In addition to being an actor, Natasha is a voice-over artist; she has been the voice talent for a production of Nineteen Eighty-Four, as well as various government e-learning modules. She is also a radio presenter on Cultural Dimsum, a community show that airs on RTHK, Hong Kong’s leading radio station.
Natasha has experience both TV and film, and has appeared in a number of commercials in the UK and India, advertising for jewellery, furniture, and men’s grooming companies.
As a freelancer, Natasha teaches drama to students and is a professional storyteller for children. She is a committee member for the Hong Kong Players; the longest-running theatre group in the region, was the principal correspondent at the 2019 Women’s Empowerment Forum, and is an empathy vlogger on YouTube (www.youtube.com/tashtalks).
Before Natasha moved to Hong Kong, she worked at various corporate organisations such a law firms and banks and has a Law degree from the University of Warwick.
