David Pearl

Founder at Street Wisdom.

Innovator in arts, business and social change. They say I am the founder of Street Wisdom but the truth is, it found me. Love Creative Mornings. Double love Tina Roth Eisenberg. If all goes wobbly I will just sing Italian love songs in a bar.

About this FieldTrip

For this special FieldTrip, we’re joining Walkshop Two of Street Wisdom’s World Wide Wander 2025. It’s based on the simple idea that insight, ideas, and inspiration are available to us all the time when we know how to look.

During this special 100-minute guided Experience, you will learn how to use your immediate surroundings - the streets in your neighbourhood or the rooms in your home - to find fresh answers to important questions. Whether you’re walking or wheeling with us outdoors, or taking part from inside, you’re soooo welcome!

Please note the start time. This World Wide Wander is being hosted from London to accommodate different time zones around the world.

About your host:

David Pearl is the founder of non-profit social venture Street Wisdom. An ex-BBC broadcaster, David is responsible for designing, orchestrating, and animating on & off-line high-stakes meetings the world over. He is also the creator of the live-streamed talk-show, The Green Room, in which David and his guests explore the backstage of working life. He keeps his creative instincts sharp with his improvising ensemble, Impropera.

David describes the common thread between all his work as finding the inspiration in the everyday. Every day.

Agenda

  • SPECIAL GUEST. We are so lucky to have special guests Nora Bateson (Warm Data founder) and Tina Roth Eisenberg (CreativeMornings founder) with us for this Walkshop. Wow!

  • TUNE UP. You will be guided through a series of short exercises that are designed to "tune up" your senses so you can tune into the world around you.

  • QUEST. You will choose and frame a question you would like some fresh thinking on and/or new answers to and then set off in search of insights, ideas and answers, looking for signs and signals from the streets or space you explore.

  • SHARE. At the end, everyone will gather together again and we will ask a few people to share their experience, what they learned and discuss how to apply the insights back to the question they brought to the WalkShop.

  • NATURE. Our theme for this year's World Wide Wander is Nature - nature all around us, the nature inside us. It's in our nature to be curious and wander - let's go!

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
