Whole Food Market Cambie’s, Jasmine McDonald, is a Certified Cheese Professional (CCP) – making her a nationally recognized authority on cheese! To become a CCP, cheese mongers must complete 4,000 hours of work in the cheese field before they can even apply for the certification process and examination, where they are tested on storage and handling, nutrition, distribution, raw materials, the ripening process, the making process, and categories and types of cheeses.
Join us on November 4th, for an interactive cheese tasting session with Jasmine where she’ll share with you her passion for the cheese culture, take you through her process for becoming a CCP, and give you a crash course in becoming a “cheese sommelier”.
The group will meet here that AM for coffee and pastries and this fun presentation/tour/cheese tasting.
8:30 - 9:00 AM - Welcome coffee & pastries (meet next to Customer Service Desk, simply turn right at the entrance)
9:00 - 9:50 AM – Meet Jasmine McDonald, learn what the heck a Certified Cheese Professional is, what it takes to become one, and then taste of cheese and learn how to pair them with other things you love!
9:50 - 10:00 AM - Recap, sharing, fun
We look forward to welcoming you at the Whole Foods Market Cambie for a fantastical morning of cheese & learning.
There is very limited space available. Please only sign up after you checked your calendar and you can really make it!
This is a more traditional format where participants absorb information through presentations and talks.
This FieldTrip will not be recorded.

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.
Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.
Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!
Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things. Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.
It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
