Jake Kahana is designing the future of work. In 2016 he cofounded and branded Caveday, a company that has facilitated over 50,000 hours of deep work. Jake develops content for their global newsletter, public products, and corporate training program. He’s a founding US faculty member at The School of Life and teaches college courses in NYC.
He’s a globally recognized artist with work profiled in WIRED, FastCo, and The Huffington Post. As a creative director and brand consultant, his award-winning client work has been parodied on late night TV, hit the Reddit Top 10, is part of the MoMA permanent collection, and has been on his parents’ fridge since 1989.
Currently, Jake lives in South Orange, NJ with his wife and two kids.
Come learn how to work smarter in The Cave.
In this FieldTrip taught by Caveday co-founder Jake Kahana, youâll learn the concept of deep work and how to get more done in less time. Weâll begin by talking about âflow,â the science of productivity, and the art of finding focus… even working from home.
Then, weâll actually do a work sprint where youâll get more done in 20 minutes than you have in most entire mornings (I know, crazy, but youâll see). Finally, youâll leave you with clear takeaways about being more focused and productive, especially working from home.
Bring a project to work onâ that thing youâve been putting off or that thing that needs to get done. Once you leave The Cave, youâll never work the same way again.
Jake Kahana is a creative director, teacher, and the co-founder of Caveday, a company changing the way individuals and companies work. They’ve facilitated over 50,000 hours of deep work for their global community.

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.
Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.
Wear your beginnerâs hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!Â
Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings communityâjust like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgroundsâa lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
Weâre all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things. Try âYes! AndâŚâ in conversation.
Itâs 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
