About the speaker
Robert Weissenbacher is a Munich-based painter whose work is in collections across Germany, Austria, Hungary, Chile and Mexico.
From 2004 to 2011 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Emö Simonyi, Gerd Dengler, Stefan Römer and Res Ingold, and in 2007 at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest with Károlyi Zsigmond.
At the center of Robert Weissenbacher's work are expressive “Eitempera” paintings that deal with the “complexity of seeing”. In his paintings, the artist often intertwines humans and animals narratively and focuses on the motif of the mask.

The association Atelierhaus Dachauer Straße e.V. is a non-profit organisation and is registered in the register of associations at Munich Local Court. The purpose of the association is the promotion of art and culture. In particular, the necessary preservation of the Atelierhaus for artistic purposes.

As creative people, our incessant curiosity and openness to engaging with different perspectives sometimes leads to us challenging ourselves. As what was once an internally fixed truth starts to evolve, we come to a crossroads in our practice.
Even after 14 years as a professional artist, Robert Weissenbacher is still constantly evolving. Robert hosts Creative Mornings Munich in his studio to share his process and journey of navigating through his recent period of self-reflection and transformation. He will present new works that have resulted from this growth.
Robert’s studio is located at the Kreativquartier - a vibrant complex of workshops, studio houses and community spaces for art, design, crafts, music and theater.
What to expect
The event will begin at 6.30 pm. Please be on time, because we should be finished by 8 pm.
After 8 pm: Get together at a location nearby.
