What are Clubs?
CreativeMorning Clubs are community-led, hyper-local, intimate gatherings around something you love.
Clubs can be recurring or drop-in and can range from hobbies and hang-outs, to skill-building and anything in between.
🖼️ Speed Creating: Speed “dating” for creatives
• – • New York, 10011
About this Club
Speed Creating is like speed dating, but instead of finding romantic partners, solo creatives connect through timed collaborative sessions.
In these timed rounds, you’ll meet fellow creatives, share ideas, and bring unique creations to life.
Club meetings will be at Pier 57 in one of the community classrooms.
Email me at speedcreating@gmail.com for any questions.
✨WHAT TO EXPECT
Participants will pair up, each drawing a random prompt: one creative action (e.g., “paint”) and one descriptive (e.g., “something inspired by your favorite quote”). Together, they’ll create something based on their prompt combination. After each round, groups will share their creations and discuss their process before starting the next round. We’ll fit in as many rounds as time allows, with some time at the end to hang out for those interested.
🍿 FOOD
Per Pier 57 Community Classroom rules: Market 57 food is allowed in the classrooms, but outside food and alcohol is not. It’s also not uncommon for a group of us to grab some food together at Market 57 after the club meeting.
⏰ CLUB START TIME
We offer a 10-minute “Window of Arrival” time where you can get settled, share snacks, sign in, and chat with one another.👉 For example…If your Club start time is 1:00pm Expect to get things going around 1:10pm.
👉 We offer this flex window because we know folks are coming from many different places around town. With that said, please try your best to arrive before 10 minutes past the start time as the activities will be getting started then!
ABOUT YOUR HOST
My name is Teddy Curtis pka Tedsson and I’m a rapper/songwriter based in Queens, NY.
There are plenty of networking events for creatives out there where you talk about what you might create with people you just met, but I wanted to create a space for something different. A space where instead of talking about ideas, we dive right in and make them happen.
This club is all about connecting with others, creating in real time, and breaking free from the overthinking that keeps so many of us from moving forward.
