Sophia encourages us to choose curiosity as an instinct for survival. Stretch it like a muscle, anchor it as a routine, plant rebellious seeds, and let go.
About the speaker
Sophia Kecir Camper is a Berlin-based Designer specialising in Interaction, Prototyping, and Design Thinking. Sophia’s work focuses on inclusive, cross-cultural, and purpose-driven challenges. Examples of this work include a wiki for edible crops, an app for people with hearing disabilities, and more recently shifting the old shipping container industry into the digital age. Sophia grew up in France, studied in Sweden, and lived in China. She started her career with Manufacturing Engineering Systems at L’Oreal. Her atypical life journey transitioned her into a Designer in 2013 and move to San Francisco in 2015. In Silicon Valley she participated in Design Thinking workshops at Stanford’s D.School (and even met David Kelley in person!). She also ran a Design workshop in one of the most inspiring hackerspaces in the World. She has a never ending and contagious thirst for life challenges and have a lot to say about it. Of course she has been spotted in Creative Mornings San Francisco and is honoured to be invited to talk to the Berlin chapter.
