志知希美Shichi Nozomi

11月30日（土）、私たちは、創造の糸に導かれ、絹糸を一本一本重ねて美しい文様を創り出す志知希美さんに、彼女のアトリエ立夏でお会いします。 志知さんは、ご自身の色とデザインへの情熱が、伝統的な指ぬきである“加賀ゆびぬき”の発見へつながり、そこから絹糸を使ったジュエリー（そして人と人とのつながり！）を創作するようになった経緯をお話くださいます。絹糸を一本一本重ねることで美しい模様を生みだすゆびぬきは、金沢のお針子さんが着物を作った際に余った材料を用いて自分の裁縫道具を手作りしたことが始まりとされています。そこには庶民のもつ美意識や、仕事を楽しもうという前向きな心が感じられます。お話の中では、こういった歴史や志知さんがものづくりをする際に大切にしている感覚や精神性についてもお話いただきます。また、糸を使った創作の楽しさを感じていただけるようなミニワークショップも開催されます。ぜひ実際に糸に触れて、その魅力を感じてください。 On Saturday, November 30th we will follow the threads of creativity and meet at Atelier Rikka, where Nozomi Shichi creates beautiful patterns by layering silk threads one by one. Shichi san will talk about how her passion for colors and design led her to discover traditional thimble Kaga yubinuki and, from there, to create jewelry (and human connections!) with silk threads. Yubinuki, whose beautiful patterns result from layering silk threads one by one, is said to have originated when a kimono seamstress in Kanazawa made her own sewing tools by hand using leftover materials. This story shows the aesthetic sense of the common people and their positive spirit to enjoy their work, the same sense and spirit that inspire Shichi san’s creations. As part of her lecture, Shichi san will also hold a mini workshop to make us feel the joy of creating with threads, touching them and feeling their charm.
