About the speaker
🎉 Celebrate Santa Cruz's Creativity at our Release Day Party
For our event on May 29th, we’re hosting a Release Day Party.
Instead of one speaker, 10+ members of our CMSC community will be invited up to the mic to share something that they’re releasing, like an idea, project, new habit or mindset.
Each presenter has 2 minutes to share onstage OR exhibit their work in the Atrium while folks mingle.
Messy is welcome. WIPs are wonderful.
We can't wait to see what you release.
About Release Day
On Release Day, May 29th, people around the world will share an idea, feeling, project, vision, experience, or anything that they’re ready to release into the world. It’s a collective moment to say: “Here it is.”
Release Day is a global creative deadline. Originally created by Sam Furness and Creative Quests, Release Day is a global celebration of putting your ideas out into the world. It’s designed to help you move past overthinking and finally share the thing you’ve been working on, whether it feels finished or not. By releasing together, we create momentum, accountability, and a shared sense that we’re in it together.

“For a vegan dip, Annie’s spread has a diehard fan base, and rightly so. This light, creamy spread is made with cashews, nutritional yeast, sesame and red bell pepper, and is as versatile as it is delicious. Use it as a dip for veggies or chips, spread it on a sandwich or dollop it on a baked potato. I have friends who have moved out of the area and mourned the loss of their beloved Annie’s spread. As locals, we should count ourselves lucky.” -Lily Belli, Lookout Santa Cruz
Scott Joly is a real estate agent with a strong focus on local community events and organizations. As an event planner himself, he knows how much effort and work goes into every occasion, sometimes on a shoestring budget, which is why if you list your home with him, he will donate 10% of his net commission to a community organization or event of your choosing. The weirder or more unique, the better!
