About the speaker

From the moment Sam sunk his hands into his first bag of cocoa beans, he knew he was destined to make chocolate. Born and raised in California with farmer Grandparents on both sides of the family, Sam approaches the agricultural side of chocolate making with integrity and passion. Sam has spent years studying everything he can about his personal liquid gold and plans to keep learning every day.
When he is not dreaming of roast profiles and winnowed cocoa beans, he is playing any type of ball with his son Salem, making morning coffee for his wife Starr, or riding his bike through the trees in Raleigh, NC.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. Enjoy free coffee and breakfast items from our fantastic partners. The presentation will begin at 9 a.m. and will last 30 minutes with time for Q&A.
Free parking during the event will be generously provided by our friends at Videri Chocolate Factory! Parking is available at the Raleigh Depot lot, next to Videri’s location at 327 W. Davie St. Just a short block south of CAM.
