Jonathan Szczupak

Jonathan Szczupak is a distinguished automotive designer, currently leading as the Director of Exterior Design at Rivian. He has been instrumental in shaping the look and feel of Rivian’s innovative electric vehicles, including the R1T truck and R1S SUV, merging aesthetics with cutting-edge technology. Prior to Rivian, Jonathan worked at Ford, where he contributed to multiple vehicle design patents, showcasing his talent for blending creativity with engineering.

From a young age, Jonathan's passion for cars was sparked by his father and grandfather, both of whom worked in the car industry. This lifelong enthusiasm, coupled with his experiences attending and photographing racing events across the UK and the U.S., has driven his dedication to automotive design. His photography project, BETWEENTHEWHITELINES, captures his love for cars and design through a unique lens, illustrating the connection between people and their vehicles. Recently, his focus has expanded to lifestyle-based photography, further highlighting the human aspect of car culture.
