Sometimes, in order to launch forward, we have to have the courage to step back – and start over.
To celebrate our second birthday, we rallied three incredible speakers around one common theme: restart. Sometimes we choose a restart; sometimes it’s chosen for us. Either way, as Zachary, Michelle and Amanda found out, embracing a restart mindset can equal huge reward, including higher levels of fulfillment.
About the speaker
Zachary Lyons - Zachary is an independent creative professional specializing in voice acting and songwriting. He is an Omaha native with an education in music business and a professional background in music licensing. In his spare time, Zachary enjoys reading novels, studying cinema and writing stories.
Michelle Bazis - Michelle spent 20+ years as a competitive and professional dancer before graduating from UNO and moving to Orlando, FL. She married her husband Ben in 2013 and together, they’ve lived and traveled all over the world doing the things they love most. Michelle created her lifestyle blog, Freely Mí, to document everyday adventures including her decision to pursue freelance writing and photography fulltime in 2015.
Amanda Rucker - Amanda spends her free time interviewing bad-ass women on her podcast, Sorosis; Instagramming the meals she makes; and biking around Omaha with her husband. She currently works at the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she helps direct all communication efforts at the College of Information Science and Technology, as well as manages CodeCrush, a series of events designed to close the gender gap in tech.
