About the speaker

Soprano Madeline Ross (she/her) is the founder and executive director of Renegade Opera, an unconventional opera company which focuses on accessible, immersive, and relevant operatic storytelling that is equitable for artists and audiences alike.

Praised for her glittering tone, enthralling stage presence, and thrilling versatility, she has performed nationally at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, and locally, including with Portland Opera, Resonance Ensemble, The Oregon Symphony, 45th Parallel, Portland Opera To Go, Opera Theater Oregon, and Shaking the Tree Theatre. She was recently hailed for “effortlessly nailing” her performance as Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (Oregon ArtsWatch).
