Enter the CHAOTIC world of Zine Design with Art Director Rebecca Hughes

Rebecca Hughes is the art director of Made in Vietnam Zine, a Hanoi zine that endeavours to support and promote creatives based in Vietnam. Their group produces unique art books together with their contributors to distribute to galleries, curators and directors, and shared with the public at their events. This month’s theme is ‘Chaos’. Rebecca will be leading us in an exploration of zine culture and its history. A product of the punk movement, zines came into circulation through a stream of photocopy machines and anarchic self expression - it dances between the bounds of order and chaos. We will also be joined by Hanoi Zine Library as they guide you through creating your first zine. A zine (/ziːn/ ZEEN; short for magazine or fanzine) is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, zines are either the product of a single person, or of a very small group.
