Quiplash speaking about the importance of accessibility!

About the speaker

Quiplash is queer crip (power) couple Amelia and Al Lander-Cavallo.
Amelia, is a queer blind theatre practitioner, director and academic.

Al, is a queer autistic non binary artist and producer.

Quiplash is here to take space for queer crips (quips), further queer crip performance, queer accessibility, and f*ck sh!t up.

This means:

  • Playing with perceived norms within LGBTQ+ spaces and disability lead spaces in order to create change.

  • Pushing the boundaries of performance in more radical and inclusive ways.

  • Training, consulting and creating inclusive access for organisations, artists, spaces and performance

  • Creating and promoting community based models of access for the queer community.

Basically, we:

  • consult,

  • run engaging workshops,

  • run fun training,

  • support LGBTQ+ and disabled artists; and

  • make really cool performances.
