About the speaker
Mirko Borsche is a typographer and graphic designer working on a wide range of projects, from magazines, books and posters to brand identities, exhibition design and fashion. Mirko is the founder of Munich-based design studio Bureau Mirko Borsche, and the brains behind the weekly creative direction of Die Zeit and Die Zeit Magazin.
Earlier in his career Mirko was responsible for the design of the magazine of the Süddeutsche Zeitung and co-founded and art directed the magazine Neon for many years.
Besides his commercial work Mirko is also an active member of the creative community. Since 2001 he is member of the Art Directors Club Germany and in 2007 he became juror of the German Design Award. In 2000 he got a lectureship at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and in 2002 at the Fachhochschule Münster.
