About the speaker

Peter Tschmuck studied Economics and Management Sciences at the University of Innsbruck in Austria and earned there his doctoral degree in Economics in 1999. From 1999 to 2000 he was Assistant Professor at the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna until he changed to the Institute of Culture Management and Culture Sciences at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. In 2003 he finished his habilitation about the structures and processes of the music industry and was then appointed professor for Culture Institutions Studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. In 2010, he held a guest professorship at James Cook University in Townsville/Australia. He also teaches courses at the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna, at the Danube-University in Krems and the University of Music, Drama and Media in Hanover/Germany. Peter Tschmuck has published numerous journal articles and book chapters on music industry related topics. His latest book publications are: Creativity and Innovation in the Music Industry, 2nd edition and Music Business and the Experience Economy, both published by Springer Science.
