Theatre artist and Communication Coach, Christopher Peck, recalls the extraordinary performance of Anna in the Tropics
About the speaker
Christopher Peck is a professional theatre nerd and, like many of you, spent much of his youth both painfully shy and uncomfortable around others. Fortunately, he discovered theatre as a place to overcome his fears and share his ideas boldly.
For years he served as director, actor, writer, and educator across the United States with theatres and theatre departments including The Berkshire Theatre Festival, Makalani Theatre Ensemble, The University of South Alabama, Baylor University, and KD Conservatory. His original adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People earned an award for excellence in directing from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and his theatre scholarship is published in Theatre Symposium and The Texas Theatre Journal. He is also a regular contributor for Preferred Health Magazine.
In 2016 he moved to Denver and began working as a Public Speaking Coach and Communication Consultant. After years directing hundreds of professional and amateur performers and educating thousands more, he realized the extraordinary need for top performing professionals to cultivate and master theatre and performance skills. He now works with public speakers, executive teams, and other business professionals helping them bridge the gap between the intention behind their communication and its impact on an audience.
Christopher enjoys building community. If you would like to be his friend, simply approach him, and begin talking about your favorite play or musical. But please don’t ask him if he preferred Oppenheimer or Barbie. He has seen neither.
