About the speaker

Paul Oakley Stovall played the role of George Washington in the first national tour of Lin Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning hit musical HAMILTON. Other credits include ANGLES IN AMERICA directed by Tony award winner David Cromer and television appearances on Lena Waithe and Common’s Showtime hit THE CHI, as well as SHAMELESS, EMPIRE and CHICAGO FIRE. He was also featured in John Cameron Mitchell’s SHORTBUS and the late Robert Altman’s THE COMPANY. Paul was also a staff writer on SURVIVOR’S REMORSE (STARZ) starring Tichina Arnold. His hit play IMMEDIATE FAMILY was featured at the Goodman Theatre and Mark Taper Forum, directed by Phylicia Rashād. Paul spent six years as an advance staff lead and media logistics coordinator for First Lady Michelle Obama, after spending a year as a Press Lead for President Obama.

Mario Yniguez is a composer, performer, and director currently finishing his degree in Vocal Performance at ASU. His psychedelic rock fusion band, Harrison Fjord (lead vocal/guitar) was recently named best band in Phoenix and this year released a new album entitled Polychrome.
