About the speaker

Founder and director of Assemble, a community space for arts + technology, Nina Marie Barbuto’s own work includes architecture, film, sound, and art installation often with the idea of recycling noise into the system or elevating the vernacular spectacular. Assemble envisions a diverse community that creates, connects, and learns through the experience of art and technology.

Nina is also the co-founder of I Made It! Market, an organization that provides opportunities for artists to sell their wares. An idea based on urban acupuncture, the I Made It! Market partners with community, arts and non-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness to assist in improving their communities. She also is the program manager of the Girls, Math + Science Partnership, an initiative of Carneige Science Center.
